Gordon Handy Machinery – Case Study 2013


Gordon Handy Machinery needed someone who was able to immerse themselves in the business and gain an in-depth understanding of it from a Marketing perspective. They required the development of a complete Marketing plan, including implementation and management of, until the Gordon Handy Marketing team were in a position to manage this in-house. One of the key issues identified was a staff shortage and part of the plan to remedy this was to develop a YouTube video.


At a time when finding Service Technicians was proving very challenging, Wildfire proposed that a Career focused video for Gordon Handy be developed.  This was one of the first action points from the Marketing Plan implemented and managed by Wildfire.

A short concise video is so much more appealing to the end user as opposed to having to read paragraphs of text. For Gordon Handy 90 seconds is plenty of time to showcase their company and get their key message across.


The video has been very helpful for generating interest in positions available within the company, as well as building brand awareness. Having been live for only a few months, it already has over 800 views.
